MUGS BUDDY LINE (AVICENNA X NEUROVIA)

The MUGS Buddy Line, held on 11th April 2025 (Tuesday), from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grand Hall, University of Cyberjaya, was a meaningful and engaging initiative organized by the Medical Undergraduates Society (MUGS) and endorsed by Faculty of Medicine. This mentorship program is designed to pair Year 1 (Y1) students with seniors from Year 2 (Y2), creating a structured support system that extends beyond academics to include personal growth and emotional well-being.

The session featured interactive ice-breaking activities where students were divided into groups of 10 and rotated to meet with other groups. This dynamic format allowed juniors and seniors to build rapport, exchange experiences, and foster meaningful connections in a relaxed and friendly environment. Through these interactions, Y1 students had the opportunity to gain insights into academic challenges, campus life, and stress management strategies directly from their more experienced peers.

One of the key strengths of the Buddy Line is its inclusivity and emphasis on community building. The event highlighted the importance of having a support network within medical school, ensuring that students feel encouraged and guided throughout their journey.
