The MBBS Gala Dinner 2024, organized by the Medical Undergraduates Society (MUGS), was held on 25th October 2024 (Friday) at De’Roses Hall, IOI Conezion Putrajaya. This elegant evening brought together 171 attendees, comprising medical students, lecturers, and staff of the University of Cyberjaya. The event was graced by the presence of Major General Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Zin Bidin (Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UoC) as the Guest of Honour.

The main objectives of this gala were to strengthen connections among MBBS students across batches, express appreciation to the faculty and lecturers for their contributions, and foster meaningful student-faculty relationships that enhance mentorship and collaboration. The dinner also served as a celebration of the shared values of dedication, academic excellence, and teamwork within the Faculty of Medicine.

The evening began with the arrival of guests, lecturers, and students, followed by the Opening Ceremony, which included speeches from the Organizing Director, Ms. Nurina Ilham Binti Abd Talib, and the Dean, Major General Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Zin Bidin (Ret’d). Their remarks highlighted the importance of unity, mentorship, and the pursuit of excellence in the medical profession.

Guests were then treated to a dinner accompanied by student performances, showcasing the creativity and talents of the MBBS community. Interactive activities such as “Guess the Baby” provided entertainment and added a light-hearted touch to the evening. The highlight of the night was the Award Ceremony, where faculty members were recognized for their dedication and invaluable contributions to the education and growth of medical students.

The event concluded with the Closing Ceremony, which featured a photo session, allowing students and faculty to capture the memorable evening together. The smiles, camaraderie, and shared joy reflected the true spirit of appreciation and togetherness that the gala was designed to foster.
