The Medical Interbatch Games (MIBG) 2024 was one of the most anticipated flagship sporting events organized by the Medical Undergraduates Society (MUGS). It was held across two weekends — 21st–23rd June 2024 and 5th–7th July 2024 — with matches and activities conducted at various venues including the University of Cyberjaya, Taman Pancarona, Puspanita Putrajaya, KSL Puchong, and UNITEN.

The event successfully brought together students from the Faculty of Medicine, providing them with an avenue to engage in healthy competition while strengthening camaraderie and teamwork across different batches. With the participation of 377 individuals, including students, committee members, and invited guests, MIBG 2024 showcased the spirit of unity, discipline, and excellence that defines the medical student community.

The games officially commenced with a grand Opening Ceremony held virtually via Microsoft Teams, which featured welcoming addresses by the Organizing Director, past leaders of MIBG, the MUGS President, the MUGS Club Advisor, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Major General Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Zin Bidin, who officiated the event. The ceremony also included the traditional oath-taking by participants, symbolizing their commitment to fair play and sportsmanship.

Over the course of the two weekends, participants competed in a wide range of sporting activities including chess, e-sports (Mobile Legends and FIFA), basketball, futsal, netball, volleyball, badminton, tug of war, track & field, and frisbee. Each game fostered collaboration, resilience, and sportsmanship, while also giving students a platform to showcase their talents beyond the classroom. The Closing Ceremony, attended by both faculty members and students, featured prize-giving sessions, the announcement of batch rankings, and recognition of outstanding athletes, culminating in a spirited celebration of teamwork and achievement.

Overall, the Medical Interbatch Games 2024 was a resounding success, embodying the values of integrity, interaction, and healthy living. It not only strengthened bonds among students across different batches but also reaffirmed the role of MUGS in promoting holistic student development. The event concluded on a high note, leaving behind valuable lessons and enthusiasm for even greater editions in the future.
