MUGS STUDY CIRCUIT: FINALPRO (ZATHRIAN X GENEZEN)
On 10th September 2025, the Medical Undergraduates Society (MUGS) successfully conducted the first MUGS Study Circuit: Final Pro, a sharing session from Zathrian seniors to Genezen juniors on Microsoft Teams from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This initiative was designed to support Genezen as they transition into their final phase of clinical training, a stage often recognized as one of the most challenging in medical school.
The session began with opening remarks, followed by a comprehensive sharing session led by Zathrian seniors, who provided valuable insights into each posting. They highlighted key learning points, common challenges, and offered practical advice on navigating clinical responsibilities effectively. Seniors also shared their personal experiences, strategies for assessment preparation, and useful study resources that juniors could apply throughout their Year 5 journey.
An interactive Q&A session allowed juniors to engage directly with their seniors, clarify doubts, and seek personalized guidance on academic balance, well-being, and extracurricular commitments. The open discussion created a supportive environment where students could learn not only from structured sharing but also from the lived experiences of their peers.
The event concluded with a summary and closing remarks, reinforcing the importance of fostering collaboration and support within the student community. With more than 190 participants in attendance, the session proved to be a meaningful initiative in easing the transition into Year 5, equipping students with effective strategies, and cultivating a spirit of mentorship within the medical faculty.
