MUGS STUDY CIRCUIT: PROBOOST (AVICENNA X NEUROVIA)
On 17th September 2025, the Medical Undergraduates Society (MUGS) successfully held the second MUGS Study Circuit: ProBoost, a sharing session from Avicenna seniors to Neurovia via Microsoft Teams from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This initiative was designed to guide students as they transition into Year 2, a pivotal stage where learning shifts from foundational sciences to more complex systems and clinically oriented modules.
The session commenced with opening remarks, followed by an engaging sharing session led by Avicenna batch seniors, who provided juniors with a structured block-by-block overview of the upcoming academic year. They shared practical strategies for approaching system-based modules, insights into managing the increasing clinical relevance of the curriculum, and advice on balancing study demands with personal well-being.
An interactive Q&A session allowed the Neurovia batch juniors to directly address their concerns, seek personalized guidance, and learn from the real experiences of their seniors. This created a supportive environment, fostering academic preparedness and reducing the anxiety often associated with transitioning into Year 2.
The program concluded with a summary and closing remarks, reinforcing the importance of mentorship and peer support within the medical community. The session proved invaluable in equipping Year 2 students with clarity, confidence, and effective strategies to face the challenges ahead..
