MUGS STUDY CIRCUIT: BLOCK BOOST (NEUROVIA X Y1)
On 12th October 2025, the Medical Undergraduates Society (MUGS) successfully conducted the final Study Circuit: Block Boost (Neurovia x Year 1) via Microsoft Teams from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This initiative was introduced to help Year 1 students transition smoothly into their upcoming academic blocks, especially as they move from general to systemic blocks.
The session featured a block overview, highlighting important topics, study tips, time management skills, and recommended resources. Senior students shared their own learning experiences and strategies, providing juniors with practical insights on how to manage academic challenges while balancing extracurricular involvement and personal well-being. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, allowing juniors to ask questions and receive direct advice in a supportive peer-to-peer learning environment.
Through this event, juniors not only gained academic strategies but also built a stronger connection with their seniors, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. The Block Boost session served as an empowering start to the new block, equipping students with both the knowledge and confidence needed to excel in their medical journey.
